Itinerary Summary
The travel to and from Bagamoyo offers a kind of tour within itself as you pass through the different areas of Tanzania. On the point, that if you have seen one colonial era fort, you have basically seen them all. What impressed many tourist there is how the people had determined that they would repurpose a site previously dedicated to the oppression of the people of Bagamoyo, by transforming it into a facility, by way of offices, that will serve the people. The history and architectural construction is not lost. This use likely will serve the people in a more comprehensive way than simply setting the facility aside as a museum. The ruins were basically that of a graveyard. While interesting, the material was limited.
